SEO AEO GEO - Tips To Maximize

If I read one more post telling me to “write high-quality content,” I’m throwing my keyboard out the window. Standard SEO advice is table stakes now. If you actually want to win in 2026, you need to get into web development, automation, and infrastructure… the stuff most SEOs still avoid because it means touching code.

Here are six tactics that go beyond content and keywords. All white-hat. All things I’ve actually used.

Infrastructure & Edge Compute

1. Handle SEO fixes at the edge, not in your CMS

If your CMS is slow or your dev team has a six-week deploy cycle, stop waiting on them for SEO fixes. Push the logic to the edge instead. With something like Cloudflare Workers, you can inject missing schema, rewrite canonicals, or patch headers before the request even hits your origin server. You fix technical debt in minutes instead of sprints, and you get a faster TTFB as a side effect.

2. Subset your fonts per page

Custom fonts are one of the quietest killers of LCP. Most sites load the entire font file even though a given page only uses a fraction of its characters. Set up a build step that generates a subset containing only the glyphs that page actually needs. It’s a small change, but it’s one of the highest-leverage things you can do for Core Web Vitals.

AI & Semantic Architecture

3. Link pages based on actual semantic overlap

Search engines are increasingly judging your internal linking by how semantically related two pages actually are, not just anchor text. You can approximate this yourself: generate vector embeddings for your content, then run a similarity query to find which pages genuinely overlap in meaning. Link those together. It’s a better internal linking strategy than anything a plugin will give you.

Digital Marketing is not Optional

4. Automate the pruning of dead pages

More URLs isn’t more traffic, a lot of them just eat your crawl budget for nothing. Wire your Search Console API into your CMS and set a rule: any page with zero impressions and zero backlinks over the last year gets unpublished and 301’d to its parent category. Let the script handle what you’d otherwise put off for a year.

Where Humans and Bots Meet

5. Build yourself into the Knowledge Graph

Forget chasing exact-match keywords. Focus on making it unambiguous who you are. Use nested schema to connect your Organization and Author markup, and point the sameAs property at your actual Wikipedia and Wikidata entries. You’re giving the algorithm a clean, verifiable way to identify you as a real entity, not just a domain with content on it.

6. Use small CSS interactions to hold attention

Dwell time matters, and you can earn more of it honestly with lightweight CSS-only interactions above the fold — a data toggle, a hover animation, a small visual detail worth pausing on. It gives people a reason to stay a few extra seconds without loading a single extra script.

None of this replaces good content. But if your content is already solid and you’re still not ranking, the problem is probably one of these six things — not your word count.
